Product Description
This cool hub combines a 2 speed internal planetary gearing and a standard 6-speed cassette (10 gears total), along with a drum brake. It was intended as a top shelf option for city, townie, and tourist bicycles, and was released in the 1990's. They're fairly rare, as they were very expensive when new and not many were sold. This one is complete with the brake strap, indicator chain and little plastic attachment at it's end.
The internal gears of this hub can be easily lubricated by removing the spindle and pouring in oil. The cassette is a premium option for this hub, and is gold anodized!! It's a somewhat proprietary design, and uses a uniglide style thread on small cog as a lockring.
Condition
Good used condition. Bearings are buttery smooth. Light cosmetic wear. The cassette seems to have some sort of spacing issue. With all 6 cogs and all spacers in place, there's not enough space on the freehub. With just 5 spacers, there's play.
