Kooka (short for the Australian bird, Kookaburra) is known for their short run of high quality, high bling factor mountain bike parts in the 1990's anodized era. This model is also referred to as the I-beam crank. This the 2nd generation Billet crank, which has fixed the non-drive arm cracking issue the 1st gen cranks had. Kooka added 2mm of material around the taper on the non-drive arm to add strength.
This crank is set up as a singlespeed, but the spider is drilled for use as a double or triple with the 94/58mm BCD. You would need different chainring bolts to run 2 or 3 rings, as these are single speed bolts. Perfect for that 90's retro bike, or a modern one that needs some color. We have a bunch of Kooka and other ano parts in this color, see "related products" below.
Condition: Great functioning condition, very good cosmetic. No cracks, bends, etc. The ring is straight, and has minimal tooth wear. The anodizing has some light scratching throughout, but still looks nice. "Kooka" decals/engravings in great shape. Ends have very little scrape marks. Threads and tapers in great shape.
