NEW/NOS Soma Tange Infinity Lugged Steel Road / Track Fork: 1" Threaded x 200mm - 700c - Black - #23055
Lovely high level lugged steel fork for your road or track bicycle. Crown is drilled for short reach caliper brake. Lovely flat crown with pointy lugs/tangs. It's made by Tange for Soma out of Tange Infinity CrMo steel, which is 2nd only to Tange Prestige. The steerer is stamped 2010-9-1, presumably the build date.
Per DaveLikesBikes: Infinity tubing is so-called because the wall thickness is continuously-tapered through three wall thicknesses, similar to double-butted tubes, which go through three discreet (abrupt) wall thickness changes (true double-butting). In fact, Tange calls Infinity “double-butted.” Tange can do this with the Infinity tubing because it is rolled and welded together, rather than drawn.
Condition
New in OEM tagged box, never installed. Steerer is uncut. Paint is practically perfect with only a couple tiny shop wear marks that aren't even worth mentioning.
