Want a high quality ITALIAN handmade bicycle at a budget price? You may just fall in love! This is a mid 2000's De Rosa Team, made from high end Dedaccia 7002 aluminum (Same aluminum Pinarello and Orbea use!). These are rare in the US, as not many were imported. They're known to be very stiff, and great for sprinting and climbing. Super high attention to detail on the build and paint! This is no sleeper.....You will know this is a top level frame as soon as you lay eyes on it! The frame-only originally sold for $1200.
The small/medium 52cm (c-c) compact frame should fit someone roughly 5ft 3 to 5ft 8. See the sizing diagram in the pics for more details.
What to do with this frame you ask? Bike radar did a review of this bike. Their test bike was a 66cm, and equipped with mid-level Campagnolo Veloce. It only weighed 18.4 pounds! With this much smaller frame, and a high end group like Campy Record this is easily a 16 pound bike. Add some carbon wheels and 15 pounds isn't out of the question.
Condition: The frame is in excellent condition, and appears to have rather low mileage. NO cracks, dents, bends, etc. Overall the paint and decals look great! There are some minor scratches here and there, but you really have to look for them. A few exceptions: The non-drive chainstay and the underside of the drive-side chainstay have some scratching, and there are light paint chips around the edges of the bb shell and headtube/headset area.
