Cinelli Mod #1 Road Quill Stem: 120mm x 25.4mm - 1950's - 1960's Vintage (EXC-NM)
This iconic Italian chrome stem was the first component from the workshop of Cino Cinelli. Your eyes are led there along the path of the sultry chrome finished curves of the quill and extension, and land on the lovely cap of the clamp bolt and the old oval Cinelli logo. These were found on Cinelli and other Italian top level road bicycles from the 1950's, 1960's, and perhaps very early 70's.
Excellent to near mint lightly used shape. Chrome is fully intact and looks amazing, and the stem is likely show worthy! The only real condition mark to note is the quill bolt's head has a bit of wear. Original bar clamp bolt is pristine, clamp nut is near mint with the just the slightest wear spots. The chrome's only marks to note is primarily on the quill shaft, below where it would be inserted into the steerer. The oval logo is just slightly worn, it looks like it wasn't stamped fully. It looks much cleaner in person than it does in the photos!
