Ever heard the term "good things come in small brown boxes"? Well, even better things come in big wooden boxes! This New Old Stock (?) Campagnolo Freewheel Tool Kit was produced in the late 1970's through the mid 1980's, and is required to remove and disassemble all Campagnolo freewheels. Like anything in a box labeled Campagnolo, it's become quite collectible! Essential for any Campagnolo bike shop or fanatic. Great investment as well, as they'll only go up in value as more and more of them are used/lost/separated. This kit o nly pops up on ebay a few times every year (none currently listed anywhere online!), and typically sell between $1500-$2000.
This kit has a bonus, too! The toolkit did not come from the Campy factory with a freewheel, just a space to store a spare freewheel (as per the 1986 "Record News"). This kit includes a NOS 6 speed Campy freewheel! These sell for $350-$400.
*The chain whip is a replacement. It is a Campagnolo #TL-1130022, and unused. It is a bit thinner and shinier than the original, but serves the exact function*
Condition: The kit is complete, and includes original instruction manual. Wooden box is in very good shape, with some scratches in the wood. Metal hinges/latches in great shape w/ no rust. Freewheel is perfect, unused. Tools appear unused, though there are a few very light marks here and there. This could be shop wear from 30 years, or could have been very light use. See the pics, and judge for yourself!
