The Campagnolo Rally rear derailleur was Campy's only long cage derailleur of the classic era (typically defined as mid 60's to mid 80's). This is the 2nd gen model, coined the Rally 3550. These were popular for touring / Randonneur bikes, as well as anyone who wanted big gears for climbing as they can shift a cog up to 32t. The 2nd gen is based off the Nuovo Record derailleur, and very similar in appearance and function. The only major difference is the mounting/end bolts are plain on the Rally. Replace them with the "campagnolo" script ones from a Record derailleur, and this will be gorgeous!
Condition: This derailleur is in it's original box with the wax instructions and is in MINT condition, though it appears it's been mounted. The outer cage plate has a 1 inch long, 2mm wide scuff, and the shine has been rubbed off the inner side of the outer cage plate by the upper jockey wheel. Otherwise, it's like new. Pulleys spin smoother than many high end modern derailleurs! If this derailleur was actually used, it was for no more than a few miles. The mark on the outer cage plate could have easily been from storage.
