1992 Manitou One Suspension Fork (M1): 1 1/4" - Speed Springs Rebuild - 11" Long Threadless (Near Mint+)
This early Manitou fork was the first released after Answer bought Manitou. It is largely the same as the Doug Bradbury Manitou fork of 1991, but adds offset fork ends as well as Answer logos. This one was recently rebuilt using Mountain Speed Springs, and feels perfect. It's show worthy cosmetically, and it's performance is closer to a modern Fox fork than a Manitou M1 fork with stock elastomers. The 1 1/4" steerer was common on high end retro mountain bikes from the early to mid 1990's. And, it's steerer is a touch over 11 inches long! This belongs on an early Doug Bradbury / Manitou FS, Yeti ARC, etc.
Near mint or better cosmetics and works perfectly with recent rebuild using Speed Springs! Zero issues, zero leaks. It is completely show worthy. The ONLY real cosmetic marks are a small line of anodizing wear on the back of one of the legs, and some marks on the dropouts. Original brake brace and crown in excellent shape with just some light marks. Stanchions are perfect with no scratches.
- 1 1/4" oversized threaded steerer (281mm / 11.065" long)
- For 26" wheel
- Grey Easton E9 tubes w/ shiny silver logos
